  • 9. Dollar Per Square Foot
    ZigBuilders is fair priced when comparing features against other builders. On our high end homes, it is common to save $50,000 or more. Our low overhead, keeping subcontractors and suppliers pricing in line and reasonable profit margins are main reasons. We will NEVER sacrifice quality; For a more “basic” home, our $/sq.ft. is very competitive to others, but be warned, our “basic” is not the same as our competition’s basic (i.e. same or less cost, but better home with Zig)!

    Zig has a wonderful ability to draw from a creative side that equates to unique, original ideas. Also, our dynamic features are always evolving. Our signature “nooches” (niches and nooks) are thoughtfully placed to be classic and not overdone. Further, our decorators are second to none: interior designer, decorative painter and window treatment company add many new, cutting edge ideas and techniques. We also love and incorporate new ideas from our customers.

    Our homes always feel bigger than other builders’ equivalent sized homes because we limit our hallways and utilize “nooches” where other builders pass them by because of time during framing or their unawareness. We find good size and space for all bedrooms and closets, not just the master.

    Our attention to detail is on a whole different level than most, if not all, builders in Northeast Wisconsin. There is the technical side (heating/cooling, insulating, drainage, etc.) to functional to decorative. This is a Zig specialty.

We are continually reviewing suppliers’ pricing and have contractors’ bid out all projects to keep everyone “honest”.     Zig makes it a priority to listen to the needs of our customers. Our charge is to closely work with you and your individual needs, which takes time on our part. If you want to “visualize” a feature on the job site, we will take the time with the framer to show you or give alternatives. You know we have plenty of ideas; still, we will always take the opportunity to incorporate your personal ideas and preferences into the home, after all, we are partnering with you to build YOUR home!

    We build 6-8 homes a year with Dan on the job sites and Penny expediting and administering the home office. Throughout the process, you know you will be dealing with one or both of us. You are not passed off to a project manager or job supervisor who is “punching a time clock” and has little vested interest. We feel strongly that this is more personal service and makes for a more satisfying and successful experience for you.
